And some more

As you can tell, Our summer break has ended  and school started again yesterday.

Today we had to take his morning glory back to the school. His was the awesomest:)

Dyson had a swimming class today for the first time after his foot got injured AND got all better. And today was the last swimming class as well:(

He is such a happy boy. I'm so grateful that he is that way.

More!

More morning glories! This time, it was dark purple:)

Trip

We took a little trip to go to my grandma's 'obon' ceremony.

(Wiki)
Obon is a JapaneseBuddhist custom to honor the spirits of one's ancestors. This Buddhist-Confucian custom has evolved into a family reunion holiday during which people return to ancestral family places and visit and clean their ancestors' graves, and when the spirits of ancestors are supposed to revisit the household altars. It has been celebrated in Japan for more than 500 years and traditionally includes a dance, known as Bon-Odori.

It took a 2 1/2hrs-train ride.

When we got there it was dark.

Next morning

This is where we stayed; my uncle and aunt's house.
You need to walk a half mile to go to their closest neighbor's house; it's awesome:)

We went for a walk, but bugs were sure bugging us that we had to turn around and come home.

No people, no cars, just bugs.
My aunt and uncle used to have milk cows and that was their business but not anymore.

They didn't like the bugs so we came inside and started watching a movie.

This is where we had the ceremony.

Then we came and did BBQ.

Fireworks.

My uncle.
The fun is over; it's time to go.

It was short but it sure was fun:) We will come back next summer.
