YW: Lesson 38

 It was 'Nutrition and the Word of Wisdom'. It was a good opportunity for me to go over the WoW. The word of Wisdom is much more than what to eat and not to eat. It also teaches us the things that we need to learn as a human being, like we need to be THANKFUL when food is given. It is an obvious thing to do, but we sometimes take for granted and slack the 'thankful' part. And 'use SPARINGLY' tells us that just because 'meat' or 'fruits' is on the good list, we shouldn't be eating too much of it. Too much of anything would lead you to an addiction or sickness. So another hidden messege of the word of wisdom is to have a good balanced diet. Heavenly Father set this commandment for us but it's still us that has to choose the right with our free agency. We should use our brain to choose what/how much we should eat and not eat according to what your own body type/needs.

And I found an interesting quote from Heber J. Grant.

Obeying the Word of Wisdom would solve the world’s economic problems

• President Heber J. Grant, the seventh President of the Church, taught that “the Word of Wisdom … would solve the economic problems … of every … country, if it were obeyed by the people of the world” (in Conference Report, Apr. 1936, 48). How do you think this could be so?
  • Consider the amount of land, money, and other resources that are used to produce harmful substances, advertise them, purchase them, and treat the consequences of their use. For example, in 1985 the cost in America of health care and lost productivity related to the use of tobacco was approximately $65 billion (see Ensign, Sept. 1986, 61). The costs of the production and use of alcohol are also very high. Consider the potential economic impact of using these resources for beneficial purposes rather than destructive ones.
    So? This was crazy, but so true. I was shocked by it. 
    
    
    
    
    We need to keep our temple clean and pure, that is all I can say. We need to make every-day choices based on this. Our bodies are gifts from our Heavenly Father, we are responsible to keep it clean and pure.

Week 4!

Here we go.

Finally I bought new Nutella. It's kinda expensive, compared to a jar of PB. I have missed you, Nutella. so today, Dyson had Nutella sandwich. Why is it so expensive?

Dyson had an art reflection award ceremony at his school yesterday.

He won an award of excellence in 3D art. 

This is his dragon.

学校の芸術コンテストがありました。だいくんがつくったドラゴンが入賞。表彰式に行ってきました。

Lady bug on neck

Dyson had a pet lady bug on his neck about two weeks; it was getting bigger. We finally made an appointment, and we headed to the doctor.



The doctor told us it is Pyogenic granuloma, and its exact is unknown. I googled a bit and said that they often appear following injury. it's common in children.


But omg! Dyson is so strong! He was all curious about what they are gonna do, so he was looking around if the nurse had a shot.

And she did! He freaked out, started crying, and said he wants to keep the lady bug forever.

After 10 min long of battle with him, I with help from two nurses held him down, and one of the nurses successfully gave him a numb shot.

Then the rest of it went so quick. The doctor came in and cut it off and burned the root or whatever.

It was exhausting for me! I didn't know that I can no longer physically control my baby boy:)

I think I started out ok; tortilla was new.

It got dull. Same old same old.

お弁当、３週目。同じものばっかり。。だいくんはそんなに気になってないみたいですけど。わたし、きになってまくりです。新しいおかずアイディア、なんだろう。

Dyson had a halloween parade at his school, so we all went to watch him.

I'm sure he felt like a movie star.

Daniel came home from work and went trick or treating with kids and went back to work again.

I baked a candy shop pizza. which was not a success at all. I still don't know what I did wrong. may be it's my oven;) It might look ok, trust me, it was bad.
